Four of a family killed in road accident at Prakasam district

SAMAYAM TELUGU: Four people were killed in an accident between a lorry and a car in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh early Wednesday morning.
The accident took place near Vellampalli village in Tripuranthakam Mandal when the car, in which the four were travelling, was hit by a lorry coming from the opposite direction. The victims include two women.
All the victims are from same family and were going to Vijayawada.The impact of the collision was such that all four of them died on the spot. The lorry driver managed to escape soon after the accident. Read this story in Telugu
The bodies were extracted from the mangled car by locals from nearby villages.
Police have registered a case and launched a manhunt for the absconding driver.
